Last fall, Amazon’s Prime Video picked up Charlie Jane Anders’ YA novel Victories Greater Than Death, which is being developed as a series by Michael B. Jordan’s production company, Outlier Society. The show is now one step closer to screens, as Gennifer Hutchison has been hired as showrunner.
According to Variety, Hutchison will also write and executive produce the adaptation. It’s not her first time in the SFF sphere; Hutchison is an executive producer and writer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, was a writer for The Strain, and worked as an assistant to the producers of Star Trek: Enterprise and The X-Files. She’s also written for Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

We’re still a long ways from having a premiere date for the adaptation, but perhaps casting news isn’t that far off!
